While there has been no formal study to discern the effect of CBD oil on pets, the response from most owners who use quality CBD products is a resounding "YES". I'm one of those folks who wholeheartedly recommends CBD. In fact, RELIEF for PETS is one of the reasons my husband and I decided to sell CBD. After experimenting with several sub-par products, we realized RELIEF was the only product that actually worked!
Our Golden Retriever, Jake, is 13 years old. It's no secret Goldens are prone to cancer - so much so, their life expectancy is about 6-8 years. Our first Golden died from cancer at 12 1/2. Jake is showing similar symptoms. His belly is extended and the tell-tale lumps are not all fatty tumors. So we prepared ourselves for the worst when after a week, his lower lip showed signs of a rapid growth tumor.
A visit to our Veterinarian confirmed our fears. We didn't opt for tests but the doctor said it was most likely malignant. We were offered alternatives such as surgically removing half his jaw which we didn't consider an option at all considering his age. Doc told us to go home, spoil him, and bring Jake back in a week or so when the tumor had burst. It would not heal at that point and his suffering would increase.
We both cried all they way home. Our Vet is hands down one of the best doctors we've had in many, many years so we trusted his prognosis - and still do. However, I just couldn't let my fur baby give up without a fight. This is what I did . . .
My husband takes RELIEF CBD for various health issues with amazing results so I applied RELIEF for PETS topically to the affected area about four times a day. It was bacon flavored and Jake loved it. We also added a dropper to his food. The photo below speaks for the results. We began treatment on July 6th. Today, Jake shows no signs of recurring oral tumors and his energy level is amazing for an old guy. We walk a block or more every evening. He actively plays hide and seek . . . for treats, of course.
I can't recommend CBD enough for our four-legged companions but don't take my word for it. Check out this article featuring American Kennel Club's Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. Jerry Klein. https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/cbd-oil-dogs/
This AKC article offers suggestions when choosing a CBD product for your pet. Our RELIEF for PETS is a perfect match . . . and 100% THC Free. Not all CBD oils claim that kind of quality. Here's an excerpt:
Look for organic. If the CBD oil is not organic, it at least should not contain pesticides, fungicides, or solvents.
Don’t price shop. The higher the quality and purity, the higher the cost. You don’t want to go for a cheaper option that could have toxic substances such as pesticides, herbicides, or heavy metals. Make sure your CBD oil is free of additives.
Get the analysis. The manufacturer should provide a certificate that tells you the amount of CBD that is in the product. Many CBD products contain only small amounts of CBD. You’ll also want to make sure there is little or no THC in the product.
Buy CBD as a liquid. You can buy dog treats containing CBD, but the best form to administer is an oil or tincture. This way, you can adjust your dog’s dose drop by drop.
RELIEF for PETS is also great for calming hyper dogs and those with travel anxiety. Let's work together to offer our fur babies a quality life. Mine deserves it. So does yours.
